I am in Heaven

As I walked throught the grocery store the other day I passed a bin full of the most wonderful things on earth. There are so many great things in this world but nothing makes me smile like that time a year when Easter candy is revealed. All I could think about doing was to load my grocery cart full and take them all home, but that would make me sick, huge and just crazy. The thought has crossed my mind though!
CADBURY MINI EGGS
Need I say more than they taste wonderful!!

Twins for a Night

Tonight I had the wonderful opportunity to babysit my bosses kids. By kids I mean his two year old twins Jordan and Jackson. I have always said that if I were to have twins I would want them to come first so that when I had more children they would be easy comparatively. Well I take that back. They are the sweetest boys and at this age they are so freakin funny. I just had a riot. I do babysit pretty regularly for various people and I would say that I am pretty good with kids, but TWO 2 year olds sure gave me a run for my money. I think with having two kids might be different than having twins (although I am only guessing due to not having kids). If you can only imagine they have two of everything. You would think that would solve all the problems but no it doesn't. They always want what each other has. Not to mention that they feed off each other and so they are into trouble in no time. If one has a toy and is it down the stairs, then the other gets a bigger toy and throws it down the stairs. If one is in the green box the other wants to be in the green box too. It was like this with everything.

I can honestly say I love children. I want so many of my own. Until I have my own I get my children fix from babysitting, which I really enjoy. So all you who have children and ever need a helping hand please call. So how do you entertain two year old boys. By watching Monsters Inc. three times, building a long train track and setting up the trains (ok I have to be honest and say I think I enjoyed this more than they did)

Their mom Amy Worthington painted their room with Lightening McQueen and she did such an awesome job. I fell in love with it. The best is that they are always dresses alike which makes them so cute right now!

Anyway I had a great night!

Millie Goes For A Run

What does it feel like to loose a child? I have no idea and I sure hope I never find out! Millie decided on Tuesday she would conquer the fence and jump it (not completely a new thing-she has jumped it before). So on the very cold Tuesday off she went over into the crazy world of Provo. You would have to know Millie to know she is a pretty friendly dog. Upon returning from home to find her gone it was not a fun feeling that is for sure. After asking around if anyone has seen a little brown puppy there were many comments that sure enough people had seen her out and about. The girl on the corner said some guy found her and said he was going to take her home and try to locate her owners. After hanging posters and searching for hours for her there was no luck. Due to the cold evening I decided to head home and wait. I mean there is only so much you can do. Finally as I decided I would do one last drive through on the streets of Provo. With the windows down and my high pitches whistle toy I roamed the streets looking for her. I was a few streets down from the house, stopped in my car and yelling out the car like a retard looking for my dog. Out of nowhere Millie is on the side of the car jumping up and down. Only after a few seconds I realized she had dragged this poor women around the block because she could hear me but was tied to an Internet cable. It was such a relief to finally have her home. With a bloody stomach and tuckered out eyes she didn't move the rest of the night. So although I may not have any idea what it feels like to loose my child I sure know that Millie is one spoiled rotten puppy and it was miserable to loose her. One quick trip to Petco and I returned home with a personal Millie tag with address and phone number.

Something to keep me warm + FEED

Yes these knitted booties are wonderful. My Great Aunt Zonnie's friend knitted them and I was so very privileged to get a hold of them. My Mom gave them to me last Sunday while here visiting. I was like oh thanks! In my mind I was really thinking I sure hope they don't smell like moth balls (they don't) and I really didn't know if I would use them. As it turns out later that night while watching T.V. my feet were like icicles. I had socks and a blanket and still could not get them warm. So I whipped out the booties. They were heaven. They warmed my feet right up and I fell in love with them. Now I wear them around the house and they are a blessing to my little (always cold) feet. I asked my Mom if there was any chance I could get my hands on another pair of them. So I have my fingers crossed.

FEED 1
My other great treasure that I am all about right now is these FEED bags. My mom was given one as a Christmas gift and I went crazy over it. I just had to have one! They are these reversible bags that are for such a great cause. Inspired by the aesthetic of the bags of food distributed by World Food Program, the FEED 1 bag was created. It's a reversible burlap and cotton bag stamped with "FEED the children of the world" and the number "1" to signify that each bag feeds one child in school for one year. I love my bag. It has been so great as a purse and I love that it has helped feed one hungry kid. Check out the organizations websites if your interested. I am definitely putting mine to good use!

LAUNDRY ROOM FINISHED

The Laundry Room is finally finished. It has been a long process and I finally feel like it is done. So I thought I would upload some pictures and give a little tour via the blog.

It all started with buying slate. With the laundry room floor warped, we realized the subfloor needed some work. So out came the subfloor, new insulation, and we finally got the tile laid. While in the mix of making the laundry room better, due to a small laundry room, a stackable Washing Machine and Dryer were purchased. Light green, blue and yellow were choosen to paint everything. I think that when I thought of a laundry room I wanted bright fresh colors to help lighten the room.

When we removed the cupboards we were about to throw the old hinges away. I loved the old shape which matched the house so well, so with the help of a steel brush, the dewalt and the dremel they layers of paint were removed, and a yucky finish to find this cool silver. So after the cupboards were painted the old (ancient-ok I don't know how old but from the looks of them they are old) hinges were put back on all refinished. New handles were bought at home depot to go with the hinges.

Thanks to Ikea (ok I admit I really like getting some things there) we got a few things to help make the laundry room come together. The light fixture, steel rod, cabinet, and shelves.

I had this brilliant idea (which turned out to just be a pain) to make the blinds for the windows. We picked out this fabric that was perfect for the laundry room. Once they were all done I wasn't loving them with the paint and the stripes but hey I had to use them after all the time and effort.

With just a few organizing bins it was finished. So the finished product looks so much better than when the project started.

So what can I say other than a new laundry room only helps a little with making me want to actually do the laundry.
