So for the past several months I have wanted to chop my hair and donate it to Locks of Love. I saw Hilary Swank do it on Oprah and so I thought why not. I mean my hair grows fast and I would love to give to others who can't grow hair like mine. After serious contemplation I went into cut it only to half chicken out and half wait for it to grow a little longer. So with the new year I just felt I needed a change. Last week I called my good friend Brittany and schedule an appointment to cut it.
BEFORE
To Donate your hair to Locks of Love they have some specific requirements. Your hair can't be bleached.. you must donate at least 10 inches... you must put the hair in a ponytail or braid and cut it.
THE CUT
I had no idea what I wanted my hair to look like or the style I wanted so I told Brittany- I trust you just do what you want. She did an awesome job and I love my hair. I haven't had my hair short since kindergarten when I had a mushroom cut. See below
AFTER HAIR
I love it. I am so glad I took the plug and chopped it off. My next post will be the hair all ready and packaged up to send to Locks of Love.

Wow! That is so awesome. It looks so cute!! If I ever grew my hair that long and tried to donate it, they'd be like , "Uhhh... we don't accept nasty hair". Way to be brave... it turned out great!
